About
J.A. Hoskins
Born in Montreal, author J.A. Hoskins is happily anchored on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast while enjoying travel anywhere and anytime. Canadian and Australian in equal measure, her writing is shaped by two hemispheres and the stories that live between them.
Before writing her own fiction, she spent years writing in other voices — across engineering, technical writing, and ghostwritten works. Those experiences now inform her novels, which tend to find their protagonists at the exact moment everything they thought they knew turns out to be a little more complicated than it seemed.
Writer-in-Residence was named Winner in multiple categories, including Third Place Grand Prize Winner at the 2026 Next Generation Indie Book Awards.
